Mo Cohen
Co-Founder & Community Learning Facilitator
At 75, Mo embodies New Terrain’s core belief: your most creative and impactful years aren’t behind you—they’re waiting to be unlocked. With 35+ years guiding transformation and over 10,000 hours of coaching, he brings a rare combination of wisdom and practical experience to AI education.
Mo holds a PhD in Solo Autobiographical Theatre and Masters degrees in Clinical Psychology and Creative Conflict Transformation. But what truly sets him apart is his gift for helping people discover possibilities they didn’t know they had.

Mo doesn’t use tech jargon or treat you like a beginner. He helps you see how AI can serve the purposes and values that are important to you – amplifying the unique gifts you’ve spent a lifetime developing.
When he’s not facilitating transformation, you’ll find Mo with his four grandchildren, writing, or boogie boarding (he never quite mastered the surfboard!).

Massimo Giannuzzi
Co-Founder & Technology Integration Specialist
Massimo has over 40 years’ experience in IT, in the voluntary and commercial sectors as a systems designer, programmer, trainer and facilitator.
He enjoys helping people gain confidence with technology, often starting from the basics.
He uses AI in all areas … while maintaining a healthy scepticism to technology. Smartphones, social media, AI … are all powerful tools … and all need responsible, educated use. A reason he co-founded New Terrain.

He has his own IT company providing Zoom production and tech support and database design solutions – ITsorted
Massimo is married, with six grandchildren all living nearby – so family life is (happily) as full-time as his work. He loves the outdoors, especially running and swimming.

Matthew Vallance
AI trainer and power user
Matthew is an experienced software engineer, having worked for several companies in education technology.
He has a First-Class Honors BSc in Computer Science, with his dissertation being an implementation of AI to detect objects in video.
Matthew utilizes AI every day in his professional, academic, and personal life. He believes that AI can make a positive difference, but recognizes the issues of reliability and accuracy. He consciously looks for unbiased journalism, aware that the overexaggeration of AI can often lead to a ‘fear of the unknown’.

Massimo first met Matthew in 2018, when he was looking for volunteers for a community project to provide IT support in their village in Devon, UK. Massimo was immediately impressed by his care and patience working with non-tech people and his ability to explain things at a level they understood.
Matthew is hoping to continue his software engineering career in the USA, starting a life with his partner, Aidan, who lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2023, he worked at a summer camp for boys in Massachusetts, where he spent his 16-hour working days running around, looking after 250 kids, teaching them survival skills, and being a mentor and trusted adult.

Daniel Cohen
Born and raised in the UK and now based in Israel, I have decades of global business experience that I try not to weigh me down as medals, but to propel me on to new challenges. As a co-founder of an AI agency, I embraced this new dimension technology as a tool that we need to decide how to use correctly.
I am delighted to be part of New Terrain, and look forward to the ongoing dialogue that is going to shape our futures – individually and as human kind.
I live in a tiny village in the Galilee, a hundred yards form my daughter and granddaughter.
